Join us this Saturday May 3rd. for a fun and interesting brewing demonstration at Hoppin’ Frog Brewery starting at 10:00 a.m.! This is for the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) BIG BREW event held across the country each year at this time. They select a special recipe, and everyone across the U.S. brews that same recipe. And this year the recipe selected comes from Larry and Donna Reuter from our SAAZ homebrew club right here in Akron, and it’s a doozy!

It’s a beer recipe named Big Blimp! American Barleywine, that they’ve won multiple awards with at various AHA contests. The blimp in the name is a reference to Akron, so they’re helping to put us on the map of great beer! It is a great beer recipe, and everyone is quite honored to have the AHA select it. It’s a proud day for the SAAZ Homebrew Club, and a proud day for Akron.

The brewing demo will be put on by SAAZ, and will be located in the parking lot in front of our brewery. We will be brewing beer with grain, so we should be done around 4:00 or 5:00 p.m.!
