Hoppin’ Frog Brewery Wins Multiple Medals At Brussels Beer Challenge!
AKRON, Ohio – November 22, 2022

Hoppin’ Frog Brewery was awarded Silver and Bronze medals last week for two of their most flavorful
beers at the Brussels Beer Challenge. The Silver medal is for Barrel-Aged Frogichlaus Swiss-style
Celebration Lager in the Flavored Beer: Wood/Barrel-Aged Beer category, and the Bronze is for
Q.O.R.I.S. The Quasher Quadruple Oatmeal-Imperial Stout in the Specialty Beer: Higher than 7% ABV
catergory. Both have long names and superb flavors, and now both have earned prestigious medals in
the heart of Belgium – one of the birthplaces of great beer.

A strong supporter of beer culture, the Brussels Beer Challenge is an annual international beer
competition, as well as a platform for international brewers to network and actively promote their
product. Over three days, a panel of Belgian beer experts judged 1,800+ beers from all corners of the
world. Beers are subdivided into categories based on origin, typology and style, and are then tasted.
At the end of the three tasting days, the best beers in each category are awarded with a gold, silver or
bronze medal. Once again Belgium maintained its leadership with 82 awards, followed by the
Netherlands (35) and Italy (34) then the United States (25), China (16), France (15), Germany (11),
Brazil (9). Other noteworthy results included some amazing medals won by Norway, Japan, India,
and … Ukraine!
